After a night of hard rain, the bright, intense sun had returned, I awakened to A "good morning" from Chris. She asked about my departure time and offered her guest book for me to leave a note.

I made my breakfast and relaxed on the couch. Before my shower, I had a little walk down her street and to Fitches Creek Harbour. There was no beach but the view was still nice. A walk back and it was time for a shower. You really do not miss HOT water and you wouldn't really want it. The cool water, not cold, is refreshing and that's what you want desperately.

I had a but of leftover mixed rice and veggies for lunch and then packed the car. I said my goodbyes and how much I had enjoyed her cottage and Antigua. Chrys wished me well and support for Hillary Clinton.

GPS to the airport was straightforward, thankfully, and even with a quick gas stop I was there in no time.

Car check in was easy as I was given no trouble with the car, thanks Hertz. At immigration, I wished the lady a Happy Independence Day (Nov 1). She ranked me and wished me good luck with the upcoming presidential election, I said that we needed a prayer. She asked what my preference was and after telling her my vote was for Hillary, she shared that the overwhelming majority of people she talked to were Hillary supporters, and smiled,

I accidentally left my Swatch at security but I was lucky and it was found it's a special model as it is in the Guinness Book of World Records as the thinnest watch in the world.

No prescreening for my US bound flight. That's never happened before, Hmmm the flight was uneventful, always nice, and so I read some and watched some of a new series

, Versailles, about the time period when Louis IV was building the palace and all the drama of the time...pretty good.

I'm Miami, no immigration form, kiosk only, and no customs check. This was really strange given how things are in the world, I expected security to be the usual, very tight. What's up? It’s the easiest American Entry that I’ve ever experienced.

Another 3 1/2 h;ours of flying and a cooler climate and I was home. It was 1:30am and I was tired. It had been a long day and I had to get up in 5 hours. Sleep, come fast.

Even with the stress of driving on a different side of the road and sometimes scary GPS directions, my time in Antigua and Barbuda was a relaxing one. I met friendly people, found extreme creativity, nicely varied geography, and natures shapes, colors, and sounds to enlighten the eyes, ears, and imagination. Only St. Lucia rivals Antigua & Barbuda in the total experience, of the 9 caribbean countries that I’ve visited. I enjoyed it and what a great choice it was, for number 101.
