Here comes the sun…well there are more cloud than sun but the rays were pushing through. Louise and Ger had gone so work and wouldn't be able to see me off, I enjoyed my stay and thanked them for sharing their home with me.

After breakfast, I put on my orange Bahamas cap and walked to cemetery beach on 7-mile. Today, there were many people out as it's the first rays in 4 days. It was very hit and humid at 86* at 9am. There were still many clouds but it was brighter then any other day of the trip.

I walked along the shore with the water lapping at my feet…so refreshing. I thought about my trip, the good and the bad. I had hoped for a bit more adventure on the trip but you don't alway get the experience you seek, but you have the experience that you make. I was happy with the moments of the dramatic waves of the Breakers, meeting Ren, and the amazing meal at Papagallo. Other contemplative moments did present themselves but not as many as I'd liked. There was work to be done upon my return,

I returned to the townhouse, showered, packed my bag, and had a quick snack before heading to the airport.

Th airport was only 15 minutes from West Bay and traffic was light…awesome. I stopped to get gas and their card machine was down, I was lucky that my last $18 US was enough to out me over the level needed for my return, Herrtz has been consistently a good rental partner for me, unlike Sixt and Exonomy. Thanks Hertz!

Check in and security was a breeze and there was no immigration check at departure…ok?!

Hot and sweaty we all boarded and it was quite miserable until up in the air. That plane smelled bad!

I watched the movie, Logan, during the flight. Amazing movie - transition for X-men.

We arrived 30 minutes early but due to no gate being available, we deplaned 15 minutes late. Didn't really matter as while I was sitting on the runway, my flight was delayed from 7pm to 9:30pm, and then 10:30pm. I hate Delta!

I was through immigration in record time with the new mobile app…love it.

I was hungry as Delta had no box snacks on the plane when I tired to buy one. The Boar’s Head cafe had a hummus / Caesar wrap…delicious after, I headed to a piano bar where I had two glasses of prosecco and read a car magazine…during which I was texted that my flight had now been delayed to 12:22 departure. Please don't cancel! Please don't cancel!

8:40pm…cancelled. I immediately called the Delta line to get rebooked and they tried to have me stay in the airport on standby. I refuse to do that and told him I would be going to hotel and they would be paying for that and I would be eating and I would be paying for that and I'll be taking transport and they will be paying for that. They booked me a flight for the next day at 1:30 PM excepted that told them I would not be flying to airline again after being reimbursed for this displacement and hung up.

Quickly I got on the Internet and booked a hotel that was nearby to the airport for a third of the price I've been paying for hotels in Midtown Atlanta the last two times. But Uber driver pick me up outside the airport and was very friendly and was quick to take me to my air-conditioned hotel room. I've gotten really good at managing these displacements as I cannot stand to be just hanging around an airport for no good reason.

As it turns out flights all along the East Coast and cancel due to an extensive weather system causing thunderstorms from Boston to New York to DC and including Philadelphia. I get out of the airport just in time to be able to have a reasonable evening in a comfortable place at least there's that.
