Up late, so I slept in. My socks had been so disgusting from all of the sweat yesterday that I washed them in the sink. This morning they were too wet to wear…I left them. The Sleep Inn at the airport was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. At 1/3 the price of my precious two displacement hotels, I highly recommend it. They even had a shuttle to take me to the airport just as I was checking out. The driver was friendly and he had me at the terminal in 10 minutes.
I checked the NOAH radar while checking in and it looked rough. A large, long line of thunderstorms just south of Atlanta stretching across Mississippi - Georgia and headed north. Ugh! There were flash flood warning for Atlanta for the storm duration.

I was starving and spotted an IHOP Express and had an omelet with cheddar, spinach, and tomatoes along with 2 small pancakes. The omelet was fresh and delicious. I haven't had pancakes in probably 6-7 years…meh. Anyway, I was fueled for my day.
I reached my gate with no seat assignment…stressful. Eventually I was on the board and was at least upgraded to get on with sky priority. One of the gate agents offered to put bags in the overhead bins ahead of time. I took advantage of this as I wanted to ensure getting a spot for my bag. That's was a clever idea.
I had a center seat but wider and more space…nice. Also, I got to choose form a basket of snacks…not bad. This did not make up for such a negative experience. I am done.
You do not get another chance, Delta.
