Up later than I should’ve been, I slept in a bit late. As I have really needed this rest I’m not going to feel guilty about it.
I have breakfast quickly showered and was ready to go in short time. I consulted Rawlda and Henry about my attempt to go to Concord Falls , again. Henry told me that the turn that I made was close by and that as I’m heading north should be one or two roads passed on the right. He said there should be a sign posted That it is the correct turn for concord falls

Exit the GPS and headed out. I did much better navigating the mountainous area above St. George. I only made one mis-turn. I was at the High Point above St. George where it’s very easy to make up missed turn and then be stuck with that decision. I was fortunate there was enough of a driveway behind me to get turned around. There happened to be a gate that was signed not to turn around there. I had to turn around there and a policeman came out. I told them what I was trying to accomplish and he helped guide me down the correct path. I would slow and was very careful with each turn and upon reaching the High Point of Cemetery Road I knew I would be OK.
I skirted the western coast of Grenada for about 30 minutes, repeating the undulations of the previous day. I really hoped I would find the waterfall that I had looked forward to. Reaching the turn off for Brooklyn, I continued and sure enough less than five minutes away was signed for concord falls I made that turn and continued on barely more than one lane road through a small residential area and then into the jungle/mountainous area that is Concord. As usual, this was a scary, scary track as it any moment I could be faced with a head on collision. I don’t like this.
About 15 minutes drive off the main road, I reached a group of people seated at some railings and I could hear the sound of water. Explained where I should park and what was accessible today. As it is the dry season only part of the Falls is visible. The Upper Falls were not recommend it today.
It was quite an effort to get there and only the most narrow of field of vision photographs will be as picturesque and anything that you'll see on the internet. It was...ok. Maybe the upper falls would have been work the trip if they had been a if it had been a better day.
I had it back and as I climb to Cemetery Hill I was very thoughtful with every turn that I made and I was able to navigate pretty well. I stopped at the High Point and got shots of St. George and the waterfront. after this I did make a mess turn and have to go through the downtown area. I did somehow follow directions well enough to end up on the road that connected to the Caranage. From here it was pretty straightforward to get me to the Grand Anse Beach and to Umbrellas.

Umbrellas was such a laid back, comfortable cafe that I decided to return for lunch. I had a fresh beet salad with a view of the beach. After, I took a long relaxing walk and then just sat in the sand thinking about how fortunate I was to be able to be here and enjoy this moment. :-)
It was Grenadian rush-hour and I was on my way back to the apartment. I followed the directions well and even stop for gas. They did not take credit cards so I was forced to use cash that I host had let me borrow. I return to the nearby grocery store but they did not have an ATM I messaged my host asking if there was anything closer than going all the way back into town. I replied several hours later was that there was not. So, off into the night I must go.
I was nervous as day time driving was an obstacle course of driving. The dark of the night seemed even darker than would be normal. I took it slow, coming down the steep hills of Westerfall. I was slow and cautious and made it to the main road quite easily. Now...night time right hand drive, I get better snd better with every country I drive in but at times my own anxiety about it gets the best of me. I’ve come very close to danger a few times.
I followed the now routine path back to Grand Ana’s Beach. Even though familiar, there are so many curves that could be considered turns and also the reverse, it gets confusing. This trip I only made one miss turn and was fortunate to find a church with parking. A short distance down the road. Correction made, I reached the mall ...sigh!

There was no clear bank or atm location but a kind lady helped me out . 200 EC in hand, I made my return, There was quite a bit of rain, a first this trip, but I slowed down and was even more cautious when vehicles approached, The final ascent of Rawlda’s drive and I had successfully made my night run. Wow...wasn’t as bad as I had made it in my head. It was a reminder that I can do anything I set my mind to,
Relax...rest...sleep!
