A nightmare interrupted my sleep - not the norm for me. I did get up in time for breakfast, but barely. Eggs and toast with some tangy fruit juice with ginger hit the spot. Back up at my cabin, a quick shower and then lit to the hammock. It was still pouring snd not a chance of doing...anything.

It should have been peaceful with the sound of the waterfall, heavy rain, and a light breeze but not even that lessened life’s stress that I was seeking to shed. I read and edited pics while I rocked back and forth while taking in the scenery of mist coming over the adjacent mountains, As the wind picked up, I went inside for a lay on the bed and watched a movie, what a lazy afternoon. With the lessening rain, I went down to the deck for a view of the waterfall again. Maybe the sight along with the sound of the rushing water would prove therapeutic. Around 4pm, I called down to the restaurant. The agreed to make something for me. I asked for the chefs salad. This consisted of lettuce, mango, nuts, cucumbers, kale, blue cheese, and vinaigrette. The didn’t have kale and did substitute Parmesan for blue cheese, it was tasty but I could tell that I would be hungry again quickly, I asked for dinner at 7pm and preordered pasta with pesto with a local root vegetable. I started watching a movie while laying in the hammock again, until dinner time. Fed but not filled, I retuned to my movie and then watched another. I had really done nothing today and that was fine, I wish it had been better fir another hike or the rain had brought me some serenity but neither happened. That’s how it goes sometimes.
