5:00am came early but I did get to sleep easily exhausted. I was showered and ready in 30 minutes, when the driver was to arrive. The young waiter that had helped me frequently said that I needed to come with him for my taxi. I followed and we went out to the alley and then to the street. We awakened a taxi driver, fast asleep. I had a weird feeling about this and asked the waiter is THIS my transport. He said that he didn't show up and I could take this taxi to the airport. Ok...the waiter told me goodbye and that he was late for university. I gave him a tip before he ran away as he'd been very nice.

The ride to the airport was quick (15 minutes) as there was very little traffic. One at the airport, I got out an thanked the man and he yelled back at me. Now...I did see a meter running and was concerned about that. It said (400 rupees- $4). I told the man that I had paid at the B&B. He said he didn't know them. I told him again that I'd already paid and wasn't paying more. A guy walked up and thought he was going to help out and we repeated the whole thing. A woman who spoke better English joined, I explained, and pulled out the card for the B&B. The guy called and spoke to Debendra or his son, not sure winch but he was satisfied. He wanted to keep the card which was fine. I just wanted to follow

I could see the line and it was insane. As this is Nepal and Trekkers and hikers come, they have lots of stuff. Lots of stiff take a long time to check in. With 6 lines open it still took over an hour just to check in. A man kept creeping up passing people but...not me. I'd waited too long for that.

I thought I was on my way but then a embankment card was required. A nice lady let me use her own so I could fill mine out. A quick review at security and I was stamped out on Nepal. My adventure in country #100 was officially over.

I watched, The Avengers new movie as I had missed it in theaters. And then put my Bluetooth earplugs in and off to sleep. They are awesome! I can't say that enough.

I awakened in time to finish yesterday's blog before landing in Istanbul. We were 40 minutes early so I didn't have to run. I picked up a yogurt and a water before a quick browse in a few shops...including the bazaar. I decided, I have too much stuff and i had some great new treasures from Nepal. I was happy

It's always a pain to embark from any country, headed for the US. I understand why and want my country to be safe but wow. Also, why do they keep it so hot...corralled and sweating...I hate it.

I finally reached Peter on FB Messenger as I had been unable to reach anyone for over 24 hours. I didn't want anyone to worry. Finally boarding and off again. Screaming baby an almost 12 hours to go…OMG!

So…my Nepal adventure. I expected to do more but the solution caused me to be quite sick. as Kathmandu is the 3rd most polluted city on Earth. That said, it was a great visit. I saw ancient temples with great art and sculpture. I visited beautiful landscape and saw…parts…of the Himalayas. The real gift of this adventure was meeting Debendra and the people of his school. I really enjoyed out conversations in the courtyard. We talked about so many things. What an amazing thing that he is doing, also. Much success to you and your school, my new friend. Thank you for being part of my visit to Nepal, my 100th country.
